Making Educationally Excellent Trips
The process for planning student travel begins by identifying the educational goals you have for your students.
Start by identifying which destinations would be ideal for your group. For example, Boston might not be the best place for a U.S. Government tour but may be an excellent choice for a History tour.
If you have a number of educational goals, devote each day to a particular theme to help students be more focused. A trip to New York City could include themes such as Art, Science, and Finance.
Lastly, reference the activities and attractions you group visits with what the group has already learned in the classroom. This will help reinforce the knowledge in student's minds and pave the way for future discoveries.
