Safety Commitments
Though we design each of our tours to be fun and educational, the safety of our students and chaperones is always our primary concern. We share the same concerns that many school administrators, teachers, and families have regarding student travel which is why we have an unflinching commitment to safety. Our four-tier safety protocols are designed to protect both your organization and any traveling students or chaperones.
Tier 1 – Liability Insurance
Your school or organization should never have to assume responsibility for the safety of traveling students. With CE Tours, you can have that peace of mind. We carry current and full liability insurance through The Berkley Group which protects third parties and tour participants in the event of any injuries and damages resulting from our negligence. Tier 2 – Participant Agreements
In addition to the service agreement issued to your school / organization, we also require signed agreements from each chaperone, group leader and tour participant (and parent or guardian in the case of minors.) These important documents ensure that all parties involved are aware of the terms and conditions necessary to ensure safety and accountability throughout the trip.
Tier 3 – Optional Travel Insurance
We strongly suggest that all groups consider purchasing optional Comprehensive Travel Insurance for their trip. We offer policies for both groups and individuals. The insurance is provided by BerkelyCare Insurance and covers such unforseeables as Trip Cancellation/Delay, Baggage Loss/Damage/Delay, and Medical Protection. Tier 4 – Additional Safety Measures
- Professional Tour Directors who ensure that safety and quality are continually upheld during all trips and tours. These individuals have been thoroughly screened and completed a successful background check and skills assessment. Our tour directors are selected and trained from the International Travel Management Institute ensuring certification and top rate training for directing travel experiences.
- Certified Hotel Properties are selected based on a set of verified selection criteria including suburban / airport locations, interior corridor, 3+ star all aimed at ensuring both quality and the safety of the group.
- A dedicated overnight security service is contracted for each hotel stay. The service is responsible for actively monitoring the hotel rooms to ensure that all participants are safe and secure.
- Partner motor coach vendors are selected based on a set of verified selection criteria to ensure that they meet our strict guidelines for safety. Our motor coach vendors are partners with us through the American Bus Association (ABA), National Tour Association (NTA) and the Student Youth and / or Travel Association (SYTA). Also, all motor coach companies are fully insured and certified with bus drivers that are licensed and professionally trained.
